Alpaca Expo- New Zealand

Ginny is back from a three week whirlwind tour of alpaca ranches in Australia and New Zealand. During her time away she attended two Colourbration Shows. One was held in Christchurch, New Zealand and had about 200 alpacas and the other was in a gold mining town called Bendigo, just north of Melbourne, Australia. This second show was attended by just under 600 alpacas. As far as she could tell, she was the only European breeder at either show. Everyone was very pleased to see her and she was treated like a ‘superstar’. Many new friends and contacts were made and  much interest in the European market was expressed.

Landscape

The result of the trip is a contingent of gorgeous females from New Zealand, grazing at our new farm in Poitou Charante. With more on the way in November, including two stunning stud males.
